Today it is a lovingly renovated and comfortably furnished property, surrounded by dense forests, directly on the small Gillausbach. The Gillausklause is located about one kilometer from the village of Gillaus, municipality of Albrechtsberg an der Großen Krems, in the southern Waldviertel, 12 km north of the Wachau (Weißenkirchen), 1¼ hours from Vienna.
