A converted barn, The Cowshed, is situated in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village of Somersby, birthplace to poet laureate Alfred Lord Tennyson, The Old Rectory where Tennyson was born stands within walking distance, and the medieval Church is opposite, with the surrounding buildings this is a lovely place to stay in a peaceful rural setting. Animals are welcome. The space The Cowshed is a cosy Self-catering cottage in the heart of the ancient and historic village of Somersby, birthplace and home for the first 28 years of his life to Alfred, Lord Tennyson. A small welcome pack is provided on arrival. Sleeping up to 2/3 people with one king-size bed and a further single bed in the sitting-room. The bathroom consists of a large bath and integrated shower. There is a comfortable seating and dining area with freeview television in the sitting-room. A fully equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, washing-machine and a dryer in the stables to the rear of the property. There is an outside eating area for you to enjoy. This is a single-storey property with ramp access. Shared parking with the main house. Dogs are welcome. Guest access The Cowshed is situated opposite the church at the small junction. The driveway is shared with a larger brick property. Other things to note There is ample free off-road parking. There is secured storage for bikes. Minimum of 3 nights.
