A cozy 500 sq. foot *waterfront* cottage with rustic elements juxtaposed with modern touches offers you everything you could ever want in a cabin getaway. Vintage wood floors, a newly renovated bathroom, high-speed internet, and a touch of glam with high-end gold finishes throughout gives this 1970's cottage a chic and modern vibe. The space Just north of the Muskoka Lakes district, Lake Bernard is a Guinness World Record holder for being "the world's largest freshwater lake without an island." *WHAT MAKES OUR COTTAGE SO SPECIAL* Lakeviews: Sit in a hammock by your very own private beach of red sand as you feast your eyes on the most glorious views of Lake Bernard's sunsets. The sun goes down directly in front of our chic & cozy cottage as if presenting you with a new magical display of colours each night. Whether you are in the kitchen, living room, or even in the shower, you will have a view of the lake! It is what makes our place SO special. *ACTIVITIES TO ENJOY NEARBY* SPRING/SUMMER: Golf, hike, fish, swim, or canoe! You don't need to go farther than our backyard to enjoy it all! The shoreline's hard-packed, sandy bottom offers a perfect shallow entry before the water begins to get deep. This makes it ideal for a wide variety of both summer and winter activities. Lake Bernard is popular for fishing a wide variety of fish, including lake trout, bass, whitefish, yellow perch and rock bass. The vast lake offers plenty of great spots to drop a line. A 16' canoe, paddles, kayaks, and life jackets are provided. For other activities (e.g., fishing, ATV, SUPs), you may wish to rent equipment locally or bring your own. A public boat launch is just a few minutes away. Not into sports? Just want to lounge? We got that covered too! Our yard is equipped with several seating options. Swing in a hammock as you read a book or watch the boats go by! Enjoy alfresco dining on the deck, and in the evening, sit by the fire as you take in the glorious sunset views in our Muskoka chairs. FALL/WINTER (yes, we are a 4 season cottage!): The Autumn leaves are gorgeous, and hiking the nearby trails is a great way to enjoy the fall colours. In the winter, ice fishing is a popular pastime, and ice huts can be rented nearby. Snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross country skiing are all common activities in the area. Snowshoes are provided. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage and property. The shed is off limits. Other things to note *IN THE SUMMER* Our lawn gets mowed every other week on a Wednesday afternoon. Just a heads up, so you’re not surprised! *RAINY DAYS* After heavy rainfall, you may notice that the cabin gets humid. There is a dehumidifier that you can use. Please bring your own: -campfire wood -charcoal
