Canute's Cottage

This is our wonderful family beach cottage, in front of the railway line, right on the beach at Southport. There are beautiful swimming beaches (with life guards and blue flag status!), rock pools and the public access is a bit of walk away so the beach in front of us is very private. We have owned the Cottage for over 60 years. It is charming and comfortable and recently renovated and we have consciously tried to retain the old world charm and laid-back atmosphere. The space We sleep two families or 10-12 people comfortably. There are two bedrooms sharing the bathroom inside the main house. There are three outside bedrooms, two are en suite and the other bedroom is close to the outside shower & loo. With the garden beams, you are safe to walk to the outside shower & loo at night. We only rent Canutes Cottage out to people who come recommended and request that you treat it with the love and consideration that it deserves! Guest access Guests will have use of the entire house. Other things to note Wonderful Michael to look after all your needs (except he doesn’t cook!) but can help prepare. He makes the beds, cleans and is charming and willing. We do ask for a generous tip for him – suggestion is R25-30 per person per night or R200 for a weekend for a family of 4-5. We have very good security system with alarm and beams in the garden Pricing is based on up to 10 people or two families. If you are a small party or one family, we can consider a reduction of approx R500 per night. Please contact me.
