Private Cottage, part of Listed Georgian Farmhouse

Chapel Farmhouse is a beautiful, listed Georgian house full of rustic charm! The cottage (annex) - formerly a farm-worker's cottage - is a cosy, self-contained space attached to the main farmhouse. We're located in a peaceful, rural setting near Oakhanger, adjoining the South Downs National Park. There are wonderful walks from the door, a village pub within walking distance & a lovely tearoom (The Chocolate Frog) just across the road. The space Perfect for a short-term or longer stay, this cosy and self-contained annex is adjoined to the main farmhouse. There are two bedrooms (1 x king; 1 x double) with plenty of space. There is a small private bathroom with a bath and shower. You have your own private entrance, kitchenette and sitting room with TV and wood burner. The kitchenette includes a sink, kettle, toaster, microwave, small hob, small table-top oven and two under counter fridges. You have your own back door and a designated patio which backs onto a shared kitchen garden. Big pizza oven and BBQ area. We can provide a toddler bed, 2 x cots and bedding for children. We do not have stairgates and children will need to be supervised on the staircase at all times. Dogs can stay by arrangement but are not allowed upstairs. There is a door at the bottom of the staircase which can be closed to prevent escapees! Hi Guest access You have your own private hallway, kitchenette and sitting room (with woodstove) downstairs, and a staircase leading to a landing with two bedrooms and a private bathroom. You have your own front door and a back door which leads to your own patio and a (shared) garden. Areas which are not accessible to guests are locked and marked private. We have a small private courtyard for parking - there is ample space to park up to 4 guest vehicles. Other things to note We are in a rural location so it is very dark at night. You may also find that your mobile phone reception is limited or non existent. We have wifi in the house. The cottage is completely private, but it is adjoined to the main farmhouse so you will hear us at times through the walls (we have two young children who do not always remember to use their "library voices" and a dog, although he rarely barks). We have a log burner and plenty of logs - it’s lovely and cosy
