The space This one-bedroom luxury apartment, with a spacious lounge / diner and bedroom, is completely and sympathetically refurbished to the highest standards. Flooded with natural light and extremely comfortable, the apartment combines modern contemporary living with traditional period features. Warmed with full gas central heating throughout, there is also a tasteful electric wood-burning-effect stove in the lounge for ambience. A travel cot and high chair are available upon request for infants. We offer full-week stays, 2/3-night weekend breaks starting on Friday, and 3/4-night midweek breaks starting on Monday or Tuesday. In low season (normally November-March excluding school holidays) or at short notice we will also be happy to consider other changeover days on request. Castle Retreat can be booked in conjunction with Barbican View and/or Lionsgate View which are separate apartments on the ground and middle floor of the same building, each also sleeping two people (plus travel cot if requested). Guest access You have exclusive use of this top floor apartment. We provide a free resident's parking permit so you can park your car in central Alnwick within a few metres of the front door. Other things to note Must climb stairs - the apartment is on the top floor. There are also four steep steps up from street level to the front door.
