A vacation like at Grandma's: Our rustic farmhouse with a large garden is located on the edge of the forest near Lüneburg and the Lüneburg Heath, only about an hour's drive from Hamburg – plenty of space and undisturbed peace, whether with family or friends. The space Our rustic farmhouse is located on the edge of Radenbeck, a quiet village in the district of Lüneburg between the Lüneburg Heath, the Elbe floodplain and the Wendland – about an hour's drive from Hamburg. The forest and fields begin right behind the garden fence. There is no through traffic in the village itself, and no one next door feels disturbed by a long evening of barbecuing. The heart of the house is the large garden with swing, sandbox and barbecue area, plus 5 bedrooms and 8 beds for up to 10 guests – enough space for a larger group to not step on each other's toes. The house is ideal for families with small children: safe for romping around, short distances to the forest, and at night, when the sky is clear, a view of the Milky Way that children from the city rarely get to see. It's made just the same for groups of friends: enough beds and quiet corners for everyone, a barbecue area for long evenings, and the remote location means that no one will be bothered if it gets late. Guest access The entire house and property are at your disposal. We ourselves live in the former pigsty on the other side of the yard and are always available for questions, without interfering with your vacation. Other things to note The house is deliberately kept rustic, and that is part of its charm – this also includes an honest word about the heating: The bedrooms are heated with night storage heaters (except for one); this is cozy, but there is no underfloor heating like at home. Of the two bathrooms, one has a fan heater and the other has underfloor heating. You can reach both bathrooms via the unheated hallway. Because of this heating, we only rent from Easter to October – during this time, the house can be kept pleasantly warm at all times, so you don't have to worry about any of that.
