Enjoy evening drinks on the lovely sun terrace at the top of the garden with fabulous sea views over the bay as far as Plymouth Sound and the hills of Dartmoor. Coast/Beach: The village beaches are almost on the doorstep, just a minutes walk away, if that. There are three beaches separated by rocks and rock pools, safe and great for children. Just over the hill on the other side of the peninsula and a 5 minutes drive away is the spectacular Whitsand Bay with miles of sandy beaches. Distances: There is the Cawsand beach ferry which takes passengers 4 times a day direct to the Barbican centre in Plymouth. By car, using the Torpoint ferry, Plymouth is about 45 minute away, 20 minutes of that is the ferry experience. Further Details: There are many country walks and the village itself straddles the South West Coast Path. If you need a break from the beach then visit the Eden Project or the Lost Gardens of Heligan or alternatively go for a stroll over Dartmoor. Outside: From the kitchen there is a small courtyard from which there are steps leading up to the terraced garden above. From here, there are spectacular sea views across Plymouth Sound towards the hills of Dartmoor beyond. Bathroom towels and bed linen are provided but please bring your own beach towels.
