Relax on the front porch or bbq and enjoy a hot tub soak out back. This is our family home and has all the essentials for hosting little ones. Perfect spot to vacation in DC, close to Rock Creek, the Smithsonian Zoo, Capital bike share docking station, buses and metro. Quiet but fun residential neighborhood with plenty to explore. The space This modern but eclectic family home is an ideal space for a family or even two small families to vacation. The main floor is open concept and just remodeled with a stunning gourmet kitchen added that is fully kitted out to meet any home chefs needs. The front livingroom is large and filled with super comfy sofas and a piano. The dining has a bar corner and a 94 inch table that seats 8 (+ highchair) In the back is a light and airy tv/play room with toys, games, a Samsung Frame smart TV and additional sofa and chair. Downstairs is also a powder room and brand new washer and dryer. In the backyard we have a large 8 person lounge area, propane grill, fire pit (doubles a coffee table when not in use.) and hot tub! Please note that if you book between March and October our car will be parked in the lower parking pad section of the yard limiting play space for kids. Upstairs you’ll find the master bedroom, a large double vanity bathroom with claw foot tub and skylight, the second bedroom with a twin over twin bunk bed and plenty of toys and books, and an office that opens to the third bedroom which is a nursery with crib and also has a sofa that pulls out into a very comfortable queen sized bed. The office can also be set up with a packnplay upon request but please note that you have to pass through the office to get to the nursery. We also have premium yoga mat and ball in the master and a water rowing machine that you’re free to use while you stay! The front porch is also where we always go for our morning coffee and it’s equipped with a comfortable conversation set. Also excellent for a glass of wine and watching the sunset! Guest access Front porch, whole townhome, and back yard. The basement is a separate unit with front entrance. Other things to note This is our family home that we invite guests to while we travel so please be aware that our personal belongings are here. Generally there isn’t much free space in the closets but if you’re staying for a while and want cleared out closet or bathroom vanity space let us know and we’ll make some space for your things!
