The view is undisturbed over the fields to the white village, and to the church of 'Panagia' - the gem of the island - watching over everyone from its mountain-top. The houses are built with traditional techniques, and with stones from the surrounding fields, trying to achieve as little disturbance to the landscape as possible - making the houses 'grow' out of the soil.
