An idyllic place in a modern setting, equipped with every comfort and therefore ideal for a romantic getaway, a nice family vacation or a longer stay. There is a large wild garden with wooden terrace where to enjoy the views, the weather or a BBQ. The surroundings of the house, on a small and old holiday park, are equipped with a playground and a secret camping area to conquer and refurbish by the children. In good weather (thanks to the microclimate in this region), you can stroll for a long time in our loungers or take it off. In bad weather, books, a large DVD collection, log in to your Apple TV or Netflix account, games, hobby stuff, model track, and marble track, or even the Playstation are ideal for spending wonderful hours together. (The wifi thing is a true wonder in this area so don't expect too much from it, sometimes it works like new, sometimes it doesn't work at all...) There's a local supermarket in the village, 7 out of 7 open, where hot baked bread and coffee cakes are available every morning. You can reach this supermarket on foot along the farm and the horses in the orchard, and then enjoy your fresh rolls sitting by the rippling water on the bench by the bridge. Lots of fun things to do nearby! From the cottage "the mockbird", some beautiful hiking trails lead to the nearby villages. The local restaurants offer delicious dishes, and after a heavenly meal, you can take the steam train to return back to Treignes, where you can taste a local Super de Fagnes (a beer from a local brewery, open to visitors) in combination with a visit to the internationally known steam train museum. You can even take a quick look at the workshop where steam trains are being renovated. Near the church is a local pub with a cozy terrace, the innkeeper will pamper you with locally brewed beers and his wife will prepare the most delicious dishes for you. Local trout flambé with Pastis combined with a blonde Super de Fagnes on the terrace is highly recommended! In Givet you will find the best Italian restaurant in the region called Casa Mia!
