Lovely Yorkshire Cottage with amazing views.

A lovely quiet, self contained, comfortable and very large cottage with superb views across the countryside. A stone cottage dating from 1751 with 2 bedrooms, 2 ensuite bathrooms, spacious lounge/diner, fully equipped kitchen and private driveway. Quiet rural area, literally in the middle of a field, and sometimes surrounded by sheep! Great for walking. Wheelchair/disability friendly, dog friendly. Unfortunately, the property is NOT suitable for infants and children. The space The Gatehouse Cottage is a lovely cosy place in the countryside. We are near to shops, roads and iconic sightseeing areas. The Cottage has been kitted out to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Wi-fi, TV, games, jigsaws are included. There is a large kitchen which is genuinely well equipped, so that if you want to do your own cooking you should have almost everything you need. Dishwasher, toaster, kettle, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine as well as a range of pans and pots, crockery and cutlery. Kitchen table or dining table or eat outside - you chose! There is a downstairs bedroom with en-suite wetroom. The utility area has a free to use washing machine, and small tumble dryer. The second bedroom is up a steep narrow staircase with lovely views over the valley, and your own bathroom on the opposite landing. We originally fitted out the Cottage for my parents, and who needed wheelchair access. So the threshold to the Cottage is only 0.5inch. Most of the doors are 32 inch wide to accommodate a wheelchair user. The downstairs bedroom is easy to get around, with a sliding door into the wetroom, which is wheelchair accessible, and has a shower with a fold down seat, and also has grab rails in the appropriate places. Outside the kitchen is a small area under the stairs, which can be used to store/recharge a wheelchair/mobility scooter. Wheelchair access to a patio with views across the valley. You have your own private patio with a small table and chairs for eating, and rattan settees for lounging and taking in the views. There is an electric BBQ for your use (no need for charcoal) Guest access Guests have full access to the cottage. Your own private entrance. Keysafe. Private off road parking in the driveway. Low door threshold and no steps. Wide doorways inside. Your own private patio where you can have a BBQ using the George Foreman electric BBQ (no need for charcoal!). Fabulous views across the valley. Other things to note The Cottage is great for anyone wanting to stay a few days, or weeks to explore Yorkshire. There are so many things you can do - Yorkshire is a fantastic place to visit. We are dog friendly, and can accommodate up to two well behaved dogs. We can also accommodate a disabled/wheelchair visitor.
