It’s all about the location - but if you can tear yourself away from the harbourside it’s worth exploring the historic market town of Alnwick (6 miles), a great place to do a little shopping or stop off for lunch or a coffee, there’s also a weekly market but don’t miss out on the magnificent castle, most famous for being transformed into Hogwart’s castle in the first two Harry Potter movies.
