Romantic riverside retreat

At the end of a small lane overlooking the beautiful River Mira, lies Casa Boakoster. Uninhabited for 25 years the house has been lovely restored blending traditional Portuguese architecture with clean interior woodworking. The space Build by Dutch Artist Bas Koster who transformed this once-derelict property into a beautiful, charming villa. Bas designed the entire house and the garden and made almost everything himself from the roof to the staircase and from the art on the walls to the furniture and the garden. There is a beautiful sun terrace and closed in garden with many areas to relax. Open-plan living space with 2 floors, upstairs is the master bedroom with queen size bed. Downstairs there is a sofa couch which transfers in to a double bed ( 140 cm). Situated in the lovely town of Odemira the house is very strategically located. With restaurants and shops within walking distance and still located near the river in a private setting. Guest access Guests have access to a great garden with hammock, sitting area with BBQ and a big sun terrace. Inside there is a modern kitchen with juicer, water boiler, coffee maker, oven, stove and washing machine. There are a lot of books in different languages and board games. There is a baby cot upstairs. All linen and towels are included. Downstairs I have a pellet stove which heats the house in the colder months of the year. Other things to note The house is clean upon arrival The cleaning fee, internet connection and tourist tax are included in the rent as well as clean linen, towels and tea towels.
