Queenies Cottage has been sensitively restored to retain many original architectural features whilst providing modern comforts; underfloor heating, a woodburner, fitted kitchen , downstairs wet room and an ensuite shower room to the master bedroom. Set well back from the road, the south-facing, private garden has an additional covered dining space, great in àll seasons. Excellent fast broadband. 2 dogs welcome Queenies is a delightful, light space for 2 guests with a secure garden. The space Queenie’s cottage is a spacious, calm rural retreat for 2 guests. It has been restored, retaining many original features: exposed beams, inglenook fireplace, oak, and brick floors. Due to its historic age, the cottage is not suitable for children or those with limited mobility due to the steep spiral staircase. We welcome dogs, there is a charge of £25 per dog but please bring throws to protect the sofas if they like to sit next to you. Metfield is a quiet pretty village with a well-stocked shop, plenty of footpaths and quiet lanes for you to explore. A small welcome pack is left for your arrival. Checkout is 10am Monday to Sat, Sunday late departure 11 am. Guest access Guests have access to the whole cottage and its enclosed, private garden, Queenie's Cottage is set well back from the road with plenty of off road secure parking. The attic room is not included in the listing. Important note: Please Do not charge electric cars from the house. Our insurance does not allow for this. Bikes can be parked and locked undercover in the back garden. Well behaved dogs are welcome. We can provide a dog crate if you like. In winter and colder weather we leave a generous amount of wood and kindling to get you started. Additional supplies can be purchased from Metfield village stores. Other things to note Some basic foods are left for your use, salt pepper, teabags, sugar. There are cleaning products under the sink. Due to the steep spiral stairs and water feature, we do not allow children and the cottage is not really suitable for elderly guests or those with mobility needs. The cottage has some lower ceilings due to its age.
