Quiet Retreat - 5 Minutes from Douthat State Park

This quiet house is ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Located only 2 miles from the entrance to Douthat State Park (5 minute drive). Great for those who want all the amenities of home and privacy while also enjoying all that the park and the surrounding area have to offer. A short 7 minute drive to the historic town of Clifton Forge (small shops, restaurants, and grocery). Fully furnished. WiFi throughout. Ample parking. Great view of the stars at night! The space The house is fully furnished and comfortably sleeps 4 (two bedrooms with double beds). Kitchen is fully furnished: refrigerator, freezer, gas range, toaster oven, microwave, Kuerig coffee maker, dishwasher, dishes, flatware, food storage containers, etc. Kitchen and living room have an open floor plan. Living room has a wood bistro table with 4 chairs, couch, Smart TV with cable, and WiFi throughout. There is one full bathroom with a bathtub as well as a small shower located in the mudroom/laundry room. Laundry room has washer/dryer and includes detergent. Linens for bedroom, bathroom and kitchen are provided. There is also an enclosed porch on the back of the house which can be great to store items you don't want to bring into the house such as hiking, biking, hunting equipment, fishing equipment, etc. The porch also has direct access to the mudroom which can be convenient after a day enjoying the outdoors. *PLEASE NOTE: The porch is NOT meant to be a bedroom or extra sleeping area as it is not airconditioned or heated. If you enjoy sitting outside and/or enjoying your meals outside, the house has covered porches on the back (picnic table with one bench), the side (iron table with 4 chairs), and the front. Because there is relatively low light pollution in this area, you also have a great view of the stars at night!
