Spacioius boutique two bedroom lodge which is equipped to a high standard and set within the grounds of Grade II listed former rectory, Berghane Hall. Located in a quiet country lane. A peaceful and comfortable retreat perfect for walking, cycling and yoga! Within easy reach of Saffron Walden, Cambridge, Duxford and Newmarket. Castle Camps is in South Cambridgeshire and borders both Suffolk and Essex which offer many picturesque, historic and charming villages. We are also dog friendly! The space The bed in room 1 is a Superking size, and the 2 singles (2'6") in room 2 can be linked to form a King. There is a shower room and also a separate WC. You are welcome to bring a dog and a small fee will be charged depending on the length of stay and/or number of dogs. We request that guests bringing a dog will be required to sign a form for possible damages and/or extra cleaning costs (see the section 'Other things to note'). We would like to point out to any guests that are booking, that the property will be scrupulously cleaned after every stay and not just after the departure of pets. Disabled access. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, cooker, microwave oven, toaster, kettle and washer/dryer. You will find fresh kitchen cloths, washing up liquid, tea towels, oven gloves - and even foil and cling film, salt & pepper. There is also a clothes airer, Nespresso machine, cafetiere and electric hand mixer. Work space and WiFi. Log Burner. Underfloor heating. 42" Television and DVD player. Some board games, DVDs and books available. Babies are welcome and a cot, highchair and baby bath can be provided upon request. Should you wish to bring children (Age 2-12 yrs) please contact us prior to booking. Outside terrace with BBQ, table and chairs. Outside hose for washing boots and dogs. Wall mounted outside washing line and airer inside. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire lodge with its own terrace and private space/garden. A BBQ and terrace furniture will be available in the summer months. Other things to note There are plenty of places to visit nearby: Stately homes and houses, Museums, Zoo, Vineyard, Castles, Art & Cultural centres, Parks & Gardens, Clay shooting, Newmarket Racing, Cambridge punting and lots of lovely walks and picturesque historic villages. And the perfect place for walking and cycling. We also have an EV charger for use at a small fee. Please note that the price for 2 is based on sharing a bed. There is a one off surcharge of £20 when only 2 guests wish to make use of the second bedroom also. Yoga classes / one off / one to one can be arranged prior to your stay (just 2 minutes drive away). A complimentary basket of logs, kindling, fire lighters, matches are provided. There is a docking station/speaker for your phone, dvd player, torch/night light, hand held vacuum, iron and board and hairdryer. Dog Friendly: If you are bringing a dog please note that there is a low fence (approx 2ft 6) which is there as a deterrent border only. You will be required to sign a responsibility form, ensure your pet is treated for fleas and pay a small fee. There are 2 dogs living at the Hall. Your dog(s) are at The Lodge under your control and responsibility.
