The cottage has stone flag floors and hardwood floors throughout and looks onto a stunning countryside scene of a tree lined reservoir and stone folly on the hillside beyond, with excellent walking on the doorstep. There is a gated relaxing seating area, parking. For eating out it is a two minute drive to the Strines Inn The space Broggin barn is tastefully presented to a high standard with traditional reclaimed stone flags laid throughout and slate floor tiles throughout the ground floor and contemporary decor. Downstairs are 2 of the 3 bedrooms, one with a double bed with period walnut furniture and luxe bed with 600 thread count Egyptian cotton linen and down duvets for ample lie ins during your stay, the other with a set of single bunk beds- perfect for kids. There is a downstairs WC, hallway, kitchen, lounge and a cosy unique reading platform accessed via a ladder to a snug armchair with secret window out to the stunning reservoir and countryside views- a true place to lose yourself with a good book. The open plan living area is light and airy with full height glazed panels to allow you to see the natural light outside, yet still feels warm and cosy with the leather chesterfield sofa, the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day exploring the Peaks. There is a fully fitted dove grey kitchen with combined washer/ dryer, oven, hob, fridge, freezer, all pans, crockery cutlery glassware and utensils necessary to cook for all 6 occupants. Climb the solid oak staircase to the first floor where the master bedroom awaits with period walnut furniture and luxe bed with 600 thread count Egyptian cotton linen and down duvets for ample lie ins during your stay. Also on the first floor is the bathroom with shower over bath, handbasin, wc, heated towel rail, out on the galleried landing you will find a small writing desk area positioned within a conservation rooflight for maximum natural light whilst catching up on work or emails using our high speed wifi connection. Each of the double bedrooms has its own flatscreen TV. Guest access There is a private flagged patio overlooking the beautiful reservoir with furniture.
