On the very edge of Hurn Forest, where trees overhang the deck to provide plenty of shade. This peaceful woodland retreat is filled with birdsong, wildlife and beautiful forest views. An ideal base for exploring the New Forest and Dorset's stunning coastline, before returning to peace and nature. Complimentary leisure passes included. The space Forest View is designed to feel like a true home from home, for up to five guests where the interior reflects the lovely woodland setting. Soft natural tones, quality furnishings and comfortable beds create a calm and welcoming space where you can truly relax from the moment you arrive. The holiday home comfortably sleeps five across three nicely presented bedrooms. The master bedroom has its own en-suite shower room, and an additional shower room means there's plenty of space for everyone to unwind after a day exploring. At Forest View there is a spacious, open-plan living area, where your eyes are drawn towards the woodland right outside. Whether you're gathering around the dining table after a day out, curling up on the sofa with a good book, watching a movie or simply enjoying a quiet morning coffee before everyone else wakes, it's a space designed for slowing down and spending quality time together. One of the most special features of Forest View is the deck overlooking Hurn Forest. With the forest beginning just beyond the boundary, it feels as though nature is part of your own front garden. It's the perfect place to enjoy breakfast in the morning sunshine or relax with a glass of wine as evening settles over the woodland. Wildlife lovers are in for a treat. Blue tits, nuthatch, jays and woodpeckers are regular visitors and if you're lucky you may even catch sight of a deer quietly wandering through the forest. The nearby horse trail is another charming part of the setting, where riders often pass through the woodland with a friendly wave. To help you enjoy the wildlife even more, we've provided bird identification books with a guest book where you can record the birds and wildlife you've spotted during your stay, you may wish to bring your binoculars. Your stay also includes complimentary leisure passes, giving you access to Oakdene Forest Park's facilities, including the swimming pools, gym, entertainment, bar/restaurant etc allowing you to enjoy the best of both worlds – the peace of your woodland setting alongside family facilities. Forest View is ideally positioned for exploring everything this wonderful corner of the South Coast has to offer. The New Forest National Park is just a short drive away, with its ancient woodland, free-roaming ponies, walking and cycling trails, while Dorset's lovely beaches, pretty coastal towns and harbours are equally within easy reach. Although there's plenty to discover nearby, many guests find that some of their favourite moments are spent right here – listening to the birds with a coffee on the deck, watching the woodland come alive throughout the day, or simply sitting quietly beneath the trees. Please note there are 4 steps up to access the accommodation, once inside everything is on one level, but please note there are no disabled facilities and doorways are narrow. There is a laundry on site. Use of the leisure facilities such as pool, gym etc are included in the cost of your holiday. Other things to note Unfortunately we're unable to provide baby equipment such as travel cot so please bring your own and we'll reconfigure the twin room to accommodate it. For younger children we can lower one of the twin beds to floor level. Just let us know your requirements at the time of booking.
