Apple Tree Cabin, Shepherds Hut Rural Retreat York

Beside an old apple tree in a quiet corner of our traditional working cattle farm you will find this secluded shepherds hut. A cosy cabin which offers luxurious but simple glamping in a quiet village with an award winning pub. All just 5 miles from York and its amazing variety of attractions and shopping, and 20 miles from Leeds and Harrogate.     It really is the perfect year round retreat. The space Our family have farmed at Home Farm since 1948 through 4 generations and we are delighted to share this cute and cosy shepherds hut; very special place; with our guests. On the farm you may see chickens, Sandy the whippet and maybe the odd cow if they come in from the fields. Our main activity is cattle farming and we sell our own beef in our small farm shop, as well as other local farmers meats. Our shepherds hut is warm and welcoming with an oh so comfy double bed with luxury bed linens and pure wool duvet. So please do come along and enjoy some time in this lovely rural retreat. Guest access In the cabin you will find a luxurious double bed, freshly laundered quality linens, blankets for curling up in the evening, British made sheep wool duvet, oak tables and 2 old church chairs, tv with dvd player, an electric stove to warn off those chilly evenings playing scrabble, welcome case with tea and coffee essentials to get you started, radio, lamps, electric sockets, storage and a few little bits and pieces. In the attached kitchenette hut you will find a microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, crockery and cutlery for 2. Outdoors you will find a firepit, 2 chairs and a table and a garden bench in your own private area, plus your own car park space, an additional car can easily be accommodated if required. Other things to note The cabin enjoys use of a shower and private washroom. It shares the shower/toilet/washing up facility with our small 6 pitch campsite and is about 50 metres from the cabin. PLEASE NOTE: SADLY IN TIMES WHEN THE WEATHER IS BELOW -3 DEGREES FOR ANY PERIOD OF TIME WE HAVE TO CLOSE THE WASHROOM WHICH MAY RESULT IN OUR LATE NOTICE CANCELLATION OF YOUR BOOKING WITH A FULL REFUND.
