Perfect for couples or a small family our home is sure to provide all you need for short and long-term stays. The décor is created with a tropical/nautical rustic charm minus the pink flamingos and hanging flip-flops. Relax in the living room and watch movies on the Smart TV, prepare a family meal in the fully equipped kitchen. Sit down together and eat or play board games at the large dining table. Want to take in some nature? Grab a comfy chair outside in your private backyard and listen to the trees dancing in the breeze and the birds chirping songs. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed, protective cover, mattress pillow top, comfy pillows, sheets, and bedding. Bed pillows are protected with an additional allergen cover liner. Need to do a load of laundry? Forgot your beach towel? No problem. You will have access to the new washer & dryer with a place to hang wet bathing suits & towels and store your coolers. Laundry room also has an iron/ironing board and a large drink cooler (house use only please). Beach chairs, beach towels, and a beach umbrella are there for you to use at our favorite beach on Pawleys Island. A "Little Extra" goes a long way....especially when you are away from home. A car is recommended, our area is very limited in Ubers/Taxis We can be easily reached by phone so just call or text, the quickest response being text. We no longer live locally but we visit frequently to check on the house and get some beach time. Our family & friends are close by should anything arise, however, you will have complete privacy during your stay. Our home is located in Maryville a suburban neighborhood near Winyah Bay. Our street is quiet, well maintained and everyone knows each other on the cul-de-sac road. HWY 17 which goes all the way from Charleston to Myrtle Beach is only a few minutes from our home. Food Lion, Dollar General & gas stations are just minutes from the house and downtown historic district is about 5 minutes from us. Historic Downtown Georgetown is a short car ride (3.2 miles) and the best-kept secret where time stands still, voted “Best Coastal Small Town” by USA Today. Whether you are enjoying a stroll down the Harborwalk with a delicious scoop of ice cream or watching the amazing sunset dance on the sails of the harbor boats, this place is one you won't easily forget. Learn the history of the area by visiting the Rice Museum, The Gullah Museum, Kaminski House & SC Maritime Museum. Only 15 minutes from our house is the beautiful Hopsewee Plantation (Voted 2020 Travelers Choice on Trip Advisor) built-in 1735 and birthplace of Thomas Lynch signer of the Declaration of Independence. What else is there to do? Buy local art from several art galleries and then relax with a cold beverage and a bite to eat in one of the many diverse restaurants. Take a tour of the town on a tram with Swamp Fox Tours or buy a ticket for a play or film at the Strand Theatre & Cinema built-in 1941. Want to fish? You are in the right place! Whether you brought your own boat (parking may be available at our house DEPENDING ON SIZE) or want to charter one, then look no further. There are several boat ramps in the area and a great selection of fishing charters. Fishing not for you but you still want to be on a boat? Take a wonderful boat tour to Shell Island and visit one of South Carolina's oldest lighthouse built in 1811 while listening to the history of the area and even a ghost story or two. Imagine….all of this and ya haven’t even left town yet! Pawleys Island Beach (our favorite) is a very easy drive on HWY 17 only 24 minutes away and by far one of the treasures of our area. Perfect for families, dogs, romance, and relaxation.
