Guest access The apartment is based at Springbank Cottage and is self-contained and forms the top floor of a traditional 18C Weavers Cottage which is a unique vernacular of the Saddleworth Area and was the original Cottage Industry. The family residence is separate from the apartment allowing complete privacy. Other things to note Countryside on your doorstep - You can walk down the lane from the apartment and after 200 yards by keeping to the left path and passing the house by the river at the bottom of the lane you will pick up the canal trail, once over the bridge. Go can go right and walk all the way to Stalybridge and beyond. Turn left along the canal and you will eventually get to Uppermill village. The heart of Saddleworth villages. It will take around 45 minutes to an hour to walk in, and there are some lovely coffee shops and boutiques to browse through. Alternatively, you can walk around Dovestones Reservoir which is just outside of Greenfield on the way to Holmfirth (where last of the summer wine was set). It’s a 10 minute drive away. If you wish to walk around the reservoir it will take around an hour and half but this can be extended by either continuing the walk around Binn Green Reservoir or going up to the hills for more of a hike if you like.
