Guesthouse in old farmhouse with swimming pond

Since July 2020, our guest house has been open for bookings: A renovated old barn, located on the grounds of our 1804 farm, located on 4.5 acres of grassland. Ideal for 1-4 people, a 5th guest is welcome. 2 double beds + 1 stretcher. On request: 1 cot and 1 travel bed. It is completely independent. The barn has been renovated while retaining original materials, trendy interior and amazing views of our garden. * Our garden can also be booked as a shoot location The space ❗️Why a stay must be requested now: To preserve the peace for us and the other guests, we do not accept every booking from families with young children. This is done in consultation and depends on the occupancy of the other accommodation. We strongly advise families with children who are afraid of dogs not to book. Our dogs are very sweet and curious, but our Boerboel is quite impressive. They roam freely on the property and are not locked up upon request. It is completely independent and can accommodate 4 (5 = extra stretcher) guests. It has been recently renovated while retaining original elements and has a warm, trendy interior. The space It is located on the grounds of our farm from 1804. This farm is on the municipal heritage list. The guesthouse was used as a barn for farm animals. During the renovation, the old elements were preserved, such as the beams. The sitting area has a beautiful view over the large garden with a large swimming pond and also an orchard with walnut, cherry and apple trees, and the pasture where the horses are. The house has a fully furnished kitchen, including all the necessary items to prepare a lavish dinner. Ingredients not included ;-) Also bath towels, bed linens, kitchen textiles - free for the first week. From the second week, €45 extra per week for 1x cleaning, bedding & textiles, on request. Kitchen extras: - Citrus press - Sandwich maker (electric grill) - Microwave - Oven - Kettle - Nespresso machine + 1x free coffee pods per stay - Selection of teas - All basic ingredients can be used, such as olive oil & vinegar, pepper & salt, butter, bottled water, coffee & tea, coffee creamer, sugar, eggs and some extra small snacks. Paper towels, aluminum foil, baking paper, wrapping foil, etc. - Upon request, we can provide a travel cot and a high chair. Other things to note: The stay is without breakfast! On request: For a long-term stay, after the first week, we charge an additional €55 per week for 1x cleaning (incl. laundry) service. The bathroom and toilet are located on the first floor, 1 separate bedroom on the first floor, the other 'semi-open' bedroom on a raised floor accessible via a small staircase. There is a smart TV in the sitting area, as well as in the (master) bedroom. Please bring your own wood for the campfire Guest access You are welcome to take a dip in the large and deep natural filtered swimming pond. It is also used by my family. The water is crystal clear, but we cannot prevent leaves from lying on the bottom due to the dozens of oak trees that stand around the pond. The pumps of the swimming pond do not start until June, which means that the water can be somewhat cloudy in the months before. However, the water is clean and suitable for swimming. Only the sunbeds on the wooden terrace by the pond are private (i.e. your hosts). The rest is free to use for our guests There is a terrace on the side of the house with lounge chairs, parasol, dining table and benches. On the side of the guesthouse is a playground, where there is a trampoline, tumble bar and swing under the old oak. Other things to note DOGS. NOT SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE AND CHILDREN WHO ARE AFRAID OF DOGS. Our dogs roam freely on the property; we cannot accommodate anxious (small) children. The dogs are part of our family, and the garden is theirs. At the time of writing, our Boerboel puppy is 13 months old (June 19, 2026) and very large (60 kg). He can be a bit vigilant and is a bit boisterous, but is not aggressive. Max is our Jack Russell, also alert, but really a friend to everyone, especially when there is attention and food. Our dogs are sweet and used to guests and (small) children, but they are still dogs and must be treated with respect. *Excluded arrival days are Sunday and Monday. Please send a message if you do want to arrive on one of these days. There is one separate bedroom. The other double bed is behind a half wall on a raised platform that is in the communal area, so it is open. The Guesthouse is built at the rear of the stables. It is directly adjacent to the area where the horses are kept. We will limit odor and noise nuisance as much as possible, but it cannot be ruled out that the presence of horses will be noticeable. Parking: There is space for 4 cars (3 inside the gate, 1 in the parking area outside the gate) Parking in consultation, because the guests of the other guesthouse and our friends and family can also come by car. Several cars can be parked a 3-minute drive from the farm in a free parking lot in the village. The pumps for the swimming pond only start in June, so the water may be somewhat cloudy in the months before that. However, the water is clean and suitable for swimming. ⛔️IT IS NOT PERMITTED: To invite people other than those listed in the reservation WITHOUT consultation. The property belongs to my family, and we would like to know who is staying on our grounds. For any additional guests who unexpectedly stay overnight, an extra charge of €25 per night per person applies. This must be reported in a timely manner. FOR PEOPLE WITH ASTHMA SYMPTOMS: Throughout the year, our guests are allowed to light campfires in the designated areas. For people with asthmatic symptoms, this can be bothersome. The distance between the fire pits is quite large, but it is difficult for us to estimate the nuisance, which also depends on the wind direction. Our horses are on flax, which limits dust formation. They do get hay fed to them in the stables. The nuisance will be minimal, but the stables are adjacent to the hall that also provides access to the Guesthouse. Please bring your own wood for campfires and coal for the BBQ (BBQ is provided)
