From July 1st and September 15th, September, the very special sleeping accommodation in the tower room of the Luther Church offers you an individual retreat with a view over the adjacent market square. The space Ironically, the largest and liveliest of the Her(R)bergskirchen locations, the town of Tambach-Dietharz, offers the best space for a retreat. The Lutheran church on the small market square has an eventful history. This is reflected in the collage of various architectural styles that characterize the appearance of the church: The oldest construction phase of 1350 is still recognizable in the lower floors of the tower made of natural stone, while the upper part dates from 1883. A series of fires destroyed the church and caused it to be rebuilt again and again. It has been a community center since 1976. Martin Luther himself visited the church in 1537 on his way back from the meeting of the Protestant princes in Schmalkalden. In the centuries-old tower there is also the small, cozy room for overnight guests. The simple, bright nave serves as a place to stay. The pews are mobile. So there is the possibility to create a very own sense of space with the available tables and stools designed especially for the project. Toilets and a kitchen can be used in the basement of the church. The shower in the nearby "Haus des Gastes" can be reached by guests around the clock with a short walk through the neighboring spa park. On the way back, you can reflect on the restful night in the tower hermitage in the Meister Eckhart Park, dedicated to the medieval mystic born near Tambach-Dietharz.
