Description

A quaint ‘olde’ cottage, full of character and was part of the oldest licensed public house on the Island. Situated in the heart of Ventnor town, it's convenient for a variety of local shops, amenities, super pubs & eateries, sea front & beach. The property offers sufficient accommodation for 7 people but can accommodate up to 8. It has seating at the front of the garden and an upper level rear garden with a BBQ and sea glimpses. There is parking for 2 cars, free wi-fi and Freeview TV. The space Lobster Cottage is situated in King Charles Court on Grove Road. As you drive into King Charles Court, Lobster Cottage is the furthest cottage on the left hand side with the white picket fence in front of it. Directly to the front of the cottage is the parking area for 2 vehicles. 3 vehicles can park in this area is the third is parked across the other 2. The thick stone walled porch is the entrance to the cottage. You walk through the front door into the lounge. This lounge had 2 sofas, a feature fire place and a Smart TV and DVD player – toy box and some games. The windy wooden staircase leads from the lounge to the upstairs floor. Through the lounge – to the right is the second reception room. This has a sofabed for additional accommodation, an additional sofa, table and chairs which makes an ideal desk space and patio doors to the outside front patio area with table, umbrella, benches and chairs. Through the lounge – to the left is a corridor – leading off from this corridor is the bathroom which has a shower over the bath, a wash basin with mirror and a WC. Further down this corridor is the fully equipped scullery style kitchen / diner. With table and chairs, cooker hob and oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave and a washing machine. On the second floor at the top of the stairs to the right hand side is the master bedroom with a king sized bed. This bedroom has a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables and lamps. On the other side of the top of the staircase is a twin bedroom with 2 single beds – one bed is a standard sized day bed and the other, a single mattress on top of a lower futon style base bed. It has a wardrobe and bedside tables and lamps. This bedroom is a walk though room to the double bedroom at the back of the property. This bedroom has a standard sized double bed, chest of drawers and a hanging clothes rail, bedside tables and lamps. It also has a back door – with access to the rear, top garden area. You can also access this rear, top garden area via the outside metal staircase – to the left of the property through the ground level patio area. This additional garden area has a BBQ, picnic style seating area with additional chairs and sea glimpses. Guest access Lobster Cottage is situated in King Charles Court on Grove Road. As you drive into King Charles Court, Lobster Cottage is the furthest cottage on the left hand side with the white picket fence in front of it. Directly to the front of the cottage is the parking area for 2 vehicles. 3 vehicles can park in this area is the third is parked across the other 2. The key safe box is situated to the right hand side of the outside porch – inside this box is the key to the inner front door through the porch. Other things to note Lobster Cottage is situated in King Charles Court on Grove Road. As you drive into King Charles Court, Lobster Cottage is the furthest cottage on the left hand side with the white picket fence in front of it. Directly to the front of the cottage is the parking area for 2 vehicles. 3 vehicles can park in this area is the third is parked across the other 2. This car park has CCTV – please do not park in any other parking space in King Charles Court – particularly not on the wall next to the road as parking tickets will be issued. Should you need additional parking for visitors there is the council pay and display central car park opposite on Spring Hill.
