Ideal for a couple's KZN Midlands Meander get-away. Situated on the Curry's Post /Lions River Rd in secure farming area. Close to many amenities. 2.5km from N3. 800m from Abingdon Wine Estate. One of 4 cottages: spacious bedroom with fan & heater, leads into shower bathroom. Open plan lounge/dining/kitchen with dstv, wood fire place, gas hob, large fridge/freezer. Sit outside & enjoy a braai & views of bushbuck & hare. Picnic under gums. Go for a walk. Enjoy the Midlands Meander. The space Spacious bedroom with heater and fan leading into bathroom. Open plan 'L' shaped living area has a sleeper couch, wood burning fire place and DSTV. Kitchen has suitable appliances for self catering: gas hob, a microwave oven, large fridge/freezer, toaster etc. Although ideal for couples, three cottages have sleeper couches suitable for extra members of the family or friends if making a short stay. The 4th cottage has a loft with comfy beds for two. The rooms are uncluttered but decorated in an eclectic, homely style. A mixture of old and new. Cotton linen & fluffy towels provided - washed and sun-dried. We hope that you will feel comfortable and at home. Daily servicing provided on request and may be for an extra charge over weekends. Guest access The self-catering cottage is private and will be yours to enjoy for the duration of your stay. Park under the nearby shade-cloth parking or alongside your cottage. If you would like the cottage cleaned please let us know so that we are aware that you don't mind the intrusion. You are welcome to walk anywhere on the property. Space is being made for picnic site under tall gum trees. A path has been cut through tall grass and woodland area for a short hike. Property (excluding our garden which is fenced and off limits) is about 5ha and you are welcome to enjoy. Enjoy a 1km walk to the Lions River or cut across the vlei to Piggly Wiggly - about 5km. You will need to respect the privacy of the other guests and near neighbours and any noise to be quietened down by 10h30pm. Other things to note Mountain bike routes around the Lions River Valley and not far from the Howick cycling routes and the Karkloof mountain bike trails. Fishing on the Lions River - subject to land owner's permission or for a daily charge trout fishing is available at Copperleigh about 30km away.
