The Byre, Field Barn
The Byre, Field Barn
Description
A beautifully finished, air conditioned self contained 2-bed detached annex with fully fitted kitchen, private garden and ample off street parking in a quiet rural location. The space The Byre is our self contained air-conditioned guest accommodation and comprises 2 en suite bedrooms (one with a red slipper bath, the other with a walk in shower) divided by an open plan kitchen/living room. Please note the bath does not have a shower attachment but has a more traditional large enamel jug for washing hair The main living area has a vaulted ceiling and is light and airy and the whole property is heated by way of underfloor heating - lovely and toasty toes in the winter! The Byre looks out onto its own private courtyard garden and the whole property is located within an agricultural setting with the nearest neighbours over quarter of a mile to the south and half a mile to the north. Guest access Check-in is generally after 3pm on the day of arrival and check-out by 10am on the day of departure unless by agreement (we will try to be as flexible as possible on these times if we don't have a booking immediately before/after yours). Other things to note Dogs - we have two dogs, an 8 year old Great Dane and a 5 year old Portuguese Cattle Dog who are always keen to meet visitors - we are dog friendly but we do ask that you only bring well behaved dogs that sleep in their own beds (not our double beds, unlike our own great dane!) and stay off the furniture - otherwise other guests who are allergic to fur will not feel so welcome. You have access to your own private courtyard garden. A separate attached lawned garden can be made available which is be secured from the drive by a gate and the main property by three bar and stock proof fence. The drive is shared with the main barn and is enclosed from the road by a 5 bar gate - our dogs can't fit through but they are too big to fit between the gaps - your dog may not be. The main Barn and its garden is enclosed from the Byre and the driveway. Parking - there is adequate parking for up to three cars. Due to the rural location of our property guests really do need to have a car - or be very enthusiastic cyclists! The property is surrounded by arable farmland so there may be very occasional activity like harvesting Children - the property is not child friendly - we don't have toys, cots, single beds or high chairs. The garden can be enclosed but isn’t designed with children in mind and borders the main barn garden although separated by a stock proof fence!
