The Bio-Erlebnishof Wastlbauer in the Salzburg Lake District - an old farm with a young philosophy. In our 2,000 m² large market garden, we cultivate fresh organic vegetables, tend orchards, flowers, berry gardens, and forests, and care for our animals with great dedication. Following the principles of permaculture, we produce food that not only tastes good but also strengthens the soil, nature, and people. Experience genuine farm life with us: Care for sheep, chickens & cats, harvest fresh fru The space This charming family suite on the ground floor has 2 rooms with double beds, 1 bathroom with bath and shower and an exclusive sun room with kitchenette, dining area and terrace. The family suite is accessible via separate entrance from the rest of the house. You can also add-on breakfast in the adjorning fam-restaurant with a garden under the walnut tree. Room features: - 1 room with box spring bed (200 x 180 cm) and 1 room with box spring bed (160x180) with high quality mattresses, toppers and anti-allergenic bedding - Bathroom with shower, toilet and bath - hairdryer - Internet TV - Charming conservatory with kitchenette (stove, refrigerator, microwave with baking function) and dining table - Free Wi-Fi - Space for a cot - Blinds to darken for a good night's sleep Guest access Guests can use the garden and playground. The cozy farm-tavern with a beautiful ambiance under the walnut tree is open for breakfast. There is also a lounge at the "Salettl" with an open-air bar and a terrace in the orchard, which is open to guests on certain evenings. The Orchard Terrace, with its private south-facing location, offers a unique view of the river Mattig and the forest below. Guests are also welcome to borrow a set of bowls to watch the sunset over a game of “bawls” on our bawls pitch. Other things to note The apartment is located in the main building of the farm, where there are also other types of accommodation. The rich breakfast buffet with products from our own farm or regional producers is served daily in the farm-tavern. If breakfast is not included in the price, this can be booked at a price of 15 EUR. On the farm, we have happy free-range chickens laying happy eggs! In the summer months we produce homemade treats from our own fruits. There are also bread baking courses. For animal lovers there are rabbits and cats. We are currently in the process to build a petting zoo for ponies, sheep, and goats. Cows, geese and pigs will soon be moving to the farm with the new farm concept. But it will take some time, because even Rome was not built in a day :). Once known as a wine tavern of a special kind with seasonal delicacies, award-winning bread, delicious pastries, selected wines and home-made cider, the cozy “Heurigenstube” on the farm now offers a rich breakfast buffet. Guests can relax in the cozy Salettl and on the sun terrace, which serves drinks and food during certain hours. We have happy chickens laying many happy eggs!
