The Stables is set within Leithen Lodge Estate, nestled in the Moorfoot hills. There are 30 acres of beautiful gardens surrounding the property, with the Leithen Water river running through. Edinburgh is a mere 26 miles away, and there is plenty to do and see locally, including the famous Glentress biking trail. Perfect for a country getaway, whether it's just to relax and have some peace and quiet or for those seeking a more active break. The space The apartment is set within the former stables of the Lodge including, a kitchen / dining area, sitting room, playroom, bathroom, one double bedroom, one twin room and one single bedroom. All of our apartments are cleaned and sanitised to high standards and in accordance to the Airbnb protocols that have been developed by Ecolab, a global leader in cleaning and hygiene technologies. We are committed to keeping you safe. Guest access This is a self-catering apartment. Guests will not have access to the main house. The courtyard is private, and we kindly ask all guest to respect the immediate perimeter of the main house and to not walk around it. There are personal rooms on the lower levels, so to ensure everyone's privacy is maintained. Guests can enjoy the 30 acres of land freely. Other things to note Please note: there is blissfully, no mobile reception. WIFI codes will be given on check-in. There are chickens and dogs that roam freely within the grounds. We believe in being a haven for animals and share our home freely with them, so we would be grateful if you could respect them and admire their beauty. We are regularly visited by families of deer, singing birds and rare red squirrels, which are now increasing in numbers on the estate.
