Romantic log cabin 35 km north of Hamburg

The log cabin Living room with fireplace (and central heating), two separate bedrooms, kitchenette, shower room, terrace and spacious outdoor area with garden furniture. Coziness and pure nature for a maximum of 4 people. A maximum of two dogs are also welcome. The immediate surroundings (pastures and forests) are ideal for long hikes and bike tours. The Baltic and North Sea, Sylt, the Elbe, Hamburg, Lübeck and many other destinations are wonderfully suitable for day trips. The space The log cabin is well sheltered between two ancient oak trees in the middle of nature surrounded by fields, pastures and forests. Total size approx. 45 square meters with a cozy living room with a fireplace (and central heating). In front of it, there is also the kitchenette and the shower room/toilet (hairdryer available). There are two separate bedrooms, each with a double bed (160 × 200). Only one of the bedrooms is heated. On request, an electric heater can be installed in the non-heated bedroom (additional cost: €20.00/day). The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove (electric oven), fridge, coffee maker (French press), toaster, kettle and dishes. Kitchen essentials such as sugar, salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar are available and at your disposal. In the garden in front of the house, you can use herbs. The terrace and the outdoor area, which can be used extensively, offer a wonderful view of nature. Garden furniture (chairs, tables, sun loungers, cushions, lanterns) are also provided. Behind the house is a fireplace where you can also grill (please bring your own charcoal). Here you will also find additional seating for a lovely evening with the sunset. A TV is available in the living room (public channels only). Fiber optic internet is available and is included, as are bed linens, towels and parking. Firewood (4 bags) is available in the log cabin. Cost per bag: €8.00 (based on consumption). Dogs are welcome (maximum 2 dogs). For this, we charge an additional cleaning fee of €20.00 per stay and dog. Please let us know when booking if you are bringing one or two dogs. Keep in mind! We use the log cabin ourselves as a weekend house, so it is equipped with more than the essentials and therefore there are also areas (storage room, some drawers) in which there are private items. We love the log cabin and the wonderful nature around it. Here numerous birds, squirrels, chickens, and occasionally a hedgehog visit us, but also toads (which are very interesting) and many more animals. Among other things, a field mouse family that has lived near us for years. We do not believe that this wonderful nature is just for us and ask that no animals be killed. Accessibility by public transportation In Langeln, there is an AKN train station (3 km). From there there are connections to Barmstedt, Elmshorn and Hamburg. The distance from the train station and stud farm is 3 kilometers. A vehicle is recommended. Hohenufer The Hohenufer stud farm is nestled in a typical North German landscape with green pastures and endless blue skies, which are almost even more beautiful when white clouds pass by. The Krückau hiking trail and an extensive wooded area directly adjacent to the stud farm offer plenty of space and opportunities for walks and hikes. The surrounding area The immediate area offers numerous opportunities for excursions. Two large adventure pools (Arriba Erlebnisbad Norderstedt and HolstenTherme Kaltenkirchen) are only a few kilometers away. The Stör-Holsteiner Aueneland canoe area offers excellent opportunities for extended canoe tours up to the Stör estuary of the Elbe. Lakes and natural pools invite you to swim, and in Kollmar you will find a beach on the Elbe. In the Hasloh high ropes course, you can move through the treetops and in the Eekeholt Wildlife Park in Großenaspe, you can observe wild boars, martens and a variety of birds of prey on a foray. There are also animals to touch at the Erlebnishof Gut Wulksfelde, as well as a climbing course, a tree house and a water play garden. During a visit, you can buy fresh products in the farm shop and enjoy daily changing organic dishes in the farm restaurant. Holstein Switzerland, the Baltic Sea, the Elbe, Hamburg, Lübeck, the spa town of Bad Bramstedt, Bad Segeberg with the Great Segeberg Lake and the Karl May Festival are beautiful destinations for a day trip. And the island of Sylt is also ideal for a day trip. Guest access All guests are welcome to explore the stud farm and its animals (horses, sheep, chickens). Other things to note Dogs are allowed (maximum 2 dogs!). Additional cleaning fee: €20/stay and dog. For firewood (optional) we charge €8.00/bag (payable in cash). Behind the house there is a fireplace where you can also barbecue. Please bring your own charcoal.
