The ideal base for wonderful hiking and cycling trips in the surrounding nature reserves or in the river landscape with its winding (car-free) dikes. Fully equipped (climate system, luxuriously furnished kitchen, WiFi) so you can enjoy a well-deserved vacation. The space The modern apartment is built in a former agricultural building. The old beams have been preserved, which, together with the sloping roof, makes it a cozy place to stay. The rural apartment has been preserved into an energy-neutral residence with a climate system that brings pleasant warmth in winter and nice even cooling in summer. From the small terrace, you can enjoy the sun and toast together to a nice vacation! Guest access The rural apartment is located in the middle of the Gelders Eiland in the heart of the Gelderse Poort. There is a lot of peace, quiet and space here and little infrastructure. It is possible to reach De Rijnstrangen by a local bus, but we recommend that you come with your own transportation. The access route runs along a beautiful dike road to the location of the apartment on Natura2000 area de Rijntakken. Parking is available at the apartments in a private parking lot located at De Rijnstrangen. Other things to note Other amenities: indoor bicycle shed, electric bicycle charging points This rural apartment appeals in particular to guests looking for tranquility, space and a green environment. Cyclists, hikers and nature lovers will find plenty to their liking. But cultural-historical visits are also possible within a short distance. The extra bedroom is also part of the apartment if booked for 3 or 4 people (or if there is a long stay). The layout is as follows: in the studio a twin arrangement (2 beds that can be placed apart) and in the extra bedroom 2 single beds. The dining area can be used as a private workplace (sockets available) and is included as such in the amenities. If required, we will be happy to provide you with a grounded and fused power strip to connect your laptop (and peripherals). You have your own WiFi router in the apartment. The speed is the maximum ADSL speed (Netflix SD quality). Fiber optic cables have been laid and will be connected in early 2021.
