The cottage is set in the midst of rural countryside, with nearest neighbours 1/4 of a mile away. Yet, it is just 5 minutes drive from Downton, and 10 minutes to the outskirts of Salisbury and 15 minutes to the centre of Salisbury. You will often see wildlife, whilst having a cup of tea/coffee/beer or glass of wine, whilst sitting at the kitchen table. It has one double room and 1 room with twin beds. If you book both rooms, then your bathroom will be private. Own transport essential. The space Apart from your own bedrooms, you are welcome to be in the kitchen whenever you wish, and that is where I hope you feel completely relaxed about helping yourselves to tea/coffee/cordials, whenever you wish. Equally to cook in. There is also the sitting room with open log fire. (Although mentioned later, have a very well behaved black labrador (very good with children), 2 chickens that roam the garden, and hopefully early June, a kitten! (just wish to make sure you are not allergic to dogs or cats!). Please note that the twin bedroom, with two single beds, has zilch storage space. There is a small cabinet between the beds. Plus one small table, a chair and an old fashioned shaving mirror, with has a stand with a circular "shelf", with a round mirror above it, so I guess it would be good for make-up. The only space for storage, is maybe to put your suitcases under the beds. There is a double hook on the back of the door for coat-hangers. The double room has a large wardrobe with hanging space, shelves, a desk, and some shelves. I have a well behaved black labrador dog (and very good with children). And as of early June, hopefully a kitten. I may smoke in the kitchen, which does have a very high ceiling, and as many doors and windows open as you wish (I have them open all the time) There is absolutely no smoking in bedrooms or bathrooms. Guest access As well as your bedroom and bathroom, there is the large kitchen and sitting room, with open log fire. Other things to note The cottage is smoking friendly, although absolutely no smoking in bedrooms or bathrooms.
