We currently live in Switzerland but my dad (french and portuguese speaker) has retired hence spend most of his time in Cape Verde. Alternatively our cousin Nicolau lives on the ground floor and he speaks Portuguese (sign language also helps :). So do not worry as there will always be someone ready to help! All taxis will drop you by the door! We have a private Jeep that you can rent at a preferred rate, we can also recommend taxi drivers and help organize tours of the island.
