Farm cottage with panoramic views, dog friendly.
Description
Small but perfectly formed, the cottage is the original 17th century farmhouse at Little Nook which is now attached to the later built farm buildings. Located in the beautiful Pennine countryside & situated on the edge of the Calderdale way, we offer stunning views over the hilltop village of Old Town and across the Calder valley. The perfect location for exploring the moors and surrounding area on foot or bicycle, we are located approximately one mile from the centre of Hebden Bridge. The space Little Nook Farm is the home of Gareth & Siobhan. Their home is shared by the resident horses, whom are more than happy to have an ear scratch or a head stroke. There are also numerous chickens and ducks, and the farm pets; Otis the dog and Milo & Gerty, the friendly farm cats. The cottage has an open plan living and dining area, which includes a wood burning stove to supplement the electric heaters. A beautiful cast iron spiral staircase leads off the living area to the mezzanine, which houses the sleeping area and en-suite shower and toilet, which have been newly refreshed for 2024. The kitchen area has a fridge with icebox, electric hob, oven, toaster and microwave. Pots and pans, cutlery and a basic range of condiments are provided. Washing and ironing facilities are available upon request. Tea and coffee are provided to ensure your break starts off perfectly with a brew on arrival. Free Wifi is available. There is a smart TV and DVD player to provide entertainment during your stay. Well behaved dogs are welcome; however we request that you let us know that you are bringing a doggie friend when you book. Due to the other animals on the farm, we ask that dogs are kept on a lead whilst on the property, as the cottage does not have a self-contained garden. Guest access Guests are free to enjoy the use of the owners garden. The is a bistro table and chairs available for use, so that you can sit, eat and drink whilst enjoying the views and the sunsets, weather permitting! There is a regular local bus service into Hebden Bridge, 7 days a week and this can be caught from directly outside the farm. Other things to note EV charging available on request for a fee.
