Edge Cottage is nestled in the picturesque village of Curbar with magnificent views of Curbar Edge. This 2 bedroomed cottage has a stylish home from home feel with lots of little touches, free Wifi, free parking & a cottage garden to enjoy. Spacious cottage for 4, but can sleep 6. A great base to visit Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Castleton, Hathersage and the Hope Valley. Dog friendly, we charge an additional £30 per dog for the duration of your stay. We can accept up to 1 dog. The space Edge Cottage has everything you need for a lovely holiday or short break in the Peak District. Tastefully designed and with the addition of little touches of comfort and style to help our guests relax and enjoy their time with us. With great walking and cycling routes from the doorstep and some fantastic pubs and eateries just down the lane, it's a great base from which to enjoy the countryside and explore the beautiful Peak District National Park. If you have any questions please just ask. Here is some more information on what to expect: Edge Cottage has the following home comforts: - 2 stylish and spacious double bedrooms, with luxury linen bedding, one room is a fixed super king-size double bed. The second bedroom has a further super king double zip and link bed which can be set up as twins if requested. There is also a set of adult-sized bunk beds in this room. - A light and bright family bathroom with shower over the bath, washbasin and WC - Bath and Hand towels are provided for each guest. - On the ground floor you will find a contemporary open plan Dining and Living Space. Making for a great space to dine and catch up with friends, or cosy up and watch TV by the fire. The space is light and bright but with warm tones from the solid oak flooring and the stylish furniture with pops of bright red for a cheery feel. - The dining table seats up to four people comfortably but can seat 6 with use of an extra leaf that is available. Step up to the kitchen area where you will find a lovely country style, yet modern kitchen. - The kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment needed for a self-catered holiday and has a built-in electric oven, an induction hob, dishwasher, a microwave, an abundance of cookware, pots, pans, crockery, utensils and glassware. Open up the stable door and enjoy the sunshine in the garden over your morning coffee or gather around the kitchen island while the chef gets cooking. Enjoy the pretty cottage garden in full bloom from Spring onwards. There is outdoor seating for 6 guests in the larger part of the garden and an additional bistro-style table and chairs to the rear. BBQ available for use between 01st April and 31st October, please supply your own charcoal and lighting equipment. Edge Cottage is dog friendly and we can accept 1 dog comfortably within the property. There is an additional £30 charge, please just let us know if you wish to bring your dog. Don't forget to bring your bicycles. Take advantage of our free on-site bike storage for up to four bicycles. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the cottage which is nestled in a quiet Peak District village. Lots of cycling and walking routes from the doorstep. If you plan on exploring the many sites and wonders of the Peak District and Derbyshire we recommend traveling by car as public transport can be limited in rural parts. There is free parking and please note the carport is 1.86mtrs high, 4.5mtrs deep and 6.3mtrs wide which is suitable for most cars, but please check the height of your car beforehand if in any doubt, you are able to fit 2 small cars in side by side You are also welcome to park at an angle to make most of the space but please do not block any access on the lane that runs passed the carport. Further on street parking is available but please be aware that the lanes in are narrow and in constant use by locals. There is free on street parking in the village, on The Hillock, Bar Road and there is also a space on the corner just before you turn in to the covered parking access belonging to Edge Cottage. Local bus services to Sheffield and Bakewell are available from Calver but may be intermittent. Check bus times for more details. Other things to note Things you should know. The entrance to the cottage has 5 stone steps down to the door There is free parking for one car at the cottage under the carport. Please note the height of the carport is 6ft and 1.5 inches (1.86 metres) which is suitable for most cars, but please do check the height of your vehicle beforehand. You are also welcome to park at an angle to make most of the space. Further on street parking is available but please be aware that the lanes in Curbar Village are narrow and in constant use by locals. There is free on street parking in the village, on The Hillock, Bar Road and there is also a space on the corner just before you turn in to the covered parking access belonging to Edge Cottage. Due to the character and age of the cottage, please note the stairs are very steep so may be unsuitable for the less agile or us and also not suitable for toddlers Noise Policy - due to the quiet village location, late night noise must be confined to inside the building by 10pm. Neighbours are in close proximity - not suitable for rowdy groups due to residential area. Wifi – we provide free wifi however as the Peak District is in a beautiful rural location sometimes there can be intermittent wifi signal that is beyond our control, we also hope you appreciate that we cannot guarantee wifi if there are technical issues out of our control. Shopping Delivery Information For ease, lots of our guests pre-ordered a shopping delivery. You are very welcome to organise this however, please do make sure you have arranged the delivery time slot to arrive after you have checked in, as we are unable to accept it on your behalf (as the property is let as exclusive use there are no Peak Venues staff on-site). Please let us know how you would like your beds made up. Some beds can be arranged as twins (details in the listing description) but only if requested at least 7 days in advance. If we do not receive any bedroom requests all beds will automatically be set up as doubles where applicable. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with late requests, especially upon check-in. If the booking is made within a 7 day period of your arrival date, all beds will automatically be set up as doubles. Please bring your own cot bed linen as this is not provided
