The perfect romantic retreat or an unspoilt haven for the lone traveller wishing to get away from it all. Winnow Nook is nestled in a small hamlet that lies within the Peak District National Park. It's set in the most stunning scenery overlooking the surrounding countryside. Two cheeky goats live in the farmyard and our pet rescue chickens, donkeys, sheep and occasional pigs can all be found around the farm. Outside the window you'll often see the local cows, sheep and most amazing views and sunsets. It's incredibly quiet on the farm now apart from the occasional 'Baa', 'Oink', 'meeoooow' or 'Eyore from our pets. Winnow Nook is a delightful barn oozing with charm and character. It has been sympathetically converted from a traditional Derbyshire limestone milking parlour into luxury holiday accommodation. It features an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area (all on one level) which has retained its vaulted ceiling, exposed wooden beams and characterful stonework. The superb country kitchen is well equipped and includes a dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob, microwave and fridge with ice box. Up three steps to the shower room with large walk in shower, wooden vanity sink and loo with large heated towel rail. Amble up to the four poster bedroom and sumptuous roll top bath…..exposed beams and mellow lime plaster walls all add to the countryside charm. Winnow Nook is furnished to a high standard throughout. Crisp white bed linen and fluffy white towels are included as is Free-Sat, Fast Wi-Fi and central heating. The country style kitchen has excellent cooking facilities but should you choose to eat out there are numerous pubs, restaurants and cafes nearby. Outside there is a charming sitting area with patio furniture exclusively for you. Perfect for al fresco dining and drinks on the terrace. We have a romantic hot tub which overlooks the beautiful countryside and can be booked as a separate addition to your stay if you wish - We charge a separate fee rather than adding it onto the property charge as some guests don’t wish to use it. If you wish to book the hot tub for use during your stay you will need to book. Once you have booked you will have sole use of the hot tub between 2pm and 9:00pm on the day(s) of your hot tub reservation(s). *SPECIAL OFFER - a free hot tub experience for all mid week stays in March* (*Mon, Tues, Wed or Thurs - subject to availability) There is a charge of £30 per guest (min 2 guests) per day.
