From Molenzicht, you can take beautiful bike rides along the beach, dunes, forests and fields. The beach of Petten aan Zee is a 10-minute drive from Boetiekhotel Molenzicht. Ample parking (free) and a cozy beach tent. Pristine beaches and natural beauty! In Petten, there is also a small supermarket and a number of restaurants. In high season, there are regular markets, fairs and activities in the area. Every Friday in the high season, there is a cheese market in Alkmaar. Alkmaar is a historic city and has a cozy city center where you can enjoy shopping and lounging. Every Thursday morning there is a market in Schagen. (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) During the holiday period, you can visit the West Frisian market in Schagen. Folklore at its best! Bergen is also well worth a visit. Numerous restaurants but also a very wooded area. Schoorl has a large climbing dune and beautiful hiking trails. This area is very wooded. Schoorl also has a cozy village street with numerous shops.
