Glenegedale Bungalow

Glenegedale Bungalow is a 3 bedroom bungalow, centrally located 1/2 way between Port Ellen & Bowmore with easy access to all parts of Islay. It is a 5 minute walk to the 'Big Strand' & its 8 mile long beach, perfect for a leisurely walk. The cottage is on the main bus route opposite the Airport. Depending on the weather you may get a chance to watch from your armchair the amazing colours as the sun sets - it's all part of the magic of island life! The space The Bungalow has 3 bedrooms (all with built in wardrobes) and can sleep up to 4 guests either 4 singles or 2 single/1 super king. The main bedroom has 2 single beds that can be made into a super king sized bed (please drop us a quick message when you book to let us know your requirements). Sit back in the lounge with a wee dram and watch the stunning views of the sun setting over the 'Big Strand'. Other things to note The bungalow is opposite the airport but don't let that put you off, it's Islay not Heathrow :) We normally have 2 flights a day - 1 in the morning approx. 9am and the other in the evening approx. 6pm - with the occasional private or ambulance plane. Well behaved dogs are welcome and the garden is fully enclosed, however please note that there is likely to be livestock, including sheep, cattle and the occasional wild deer, in the neighbouring fields. Use of electricity out-with the 4 walls of the house is not permitted for insurance purposes. There are EV charging points in Bowmore, Port Ellen and at most distilleries. Mobile reception can sometimes be patchy in the property and locally depending on the provider. Property keys - if lost, lock replacement will be due.
