Ardminish Village House - Gigha

This is an airy 2 bedroom semi detached bungalow situated in the midst of the original village of Ardminish on the community owned Isle of Gigha. Newly freshened, the house boasts a new kitchen and wood burning stove with back boiler. In the colder months you can cosy up in the living room but the fire will happily heat the whole home. A small front and back private garden and driveway with a BBQ are also accessible. You have a view of the Sound of Gigha from the rear of the house. The space The house is fairly central on the island with the main amenities less than a ten minute walk away. The award winning Boathouse Restaurant (seasonal; booking recommended) serves up a plethora of local fish dishes and also something for the herbivores and carnivore alike right on the shore of Ardminish Bay. (10 mins walk) The Gigha Hotel Bistro & Restaurant (year round) provides a wide range of dishes with fish, meat and kid specific menus available. The Hotel also boasts a large beer garden, public bar and pool room. (2 minute walk) The Pottery Café adjacent to the hotel offers Soup, Sandwich and Cakes within the setting of a fine art gallery, a quick phone ahead is usually advised as opening hours can vary with the season. (3 minute walk) Achamore Gardens, a world renowned spectacle, is a 10-15 walk away and showcases some very rare Rhododendrons and azaleas including the Horlick Collection. Ardminish Stores, the local shop, stocks a wide and exciting variety of products. Everything you could imagine seems to adorn the shelves but just message them if you have any specific requests to put your mind to rest. You are just a five minute walk from one of the most picturesque and sheltered beaches on Gigha. Known as Jonny’s Shore it is a great spot for a picnic and sometimes serves as a site for weddings. Guest access The property is equipped with most ModCons and is complete with free WiFi throughout and access to subscription on demand services such as Now Tv and Sky Store. Wood and Coal for the Multi fuel burner with back boiler for hot water is available free of charge. Additional stocks can be obtained from the shop. Other things to note We provide a travel cot for those guests whom require one for an infant/toddler however we kindly ask that you provide your own bedding for it as this is not provided as standard.
