'Picardy' cottage gite at Le Vieux Presbytere

Located in the grounds of The Old Presbytery, gite 'Picardie' has its own parking for one car, kitchen, lounge, bathroom and private garden with furniture and BBQ. There is one bedroom with double bed, making this gite suitable for one person or a couple. (The sofa is not suitable for sleeping.) The kitchen offers fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. It is fully kitted out with cookware, enabling you to create the perfect holiday meal. The space Gite 'Picardie' accommodation comprises a lovely spacious living room with separate large galley kitchen and dining area, bathroom/toilet, and a double bedroom on the ground floor with direct access to the terrace via French door/window. Both our gites are situated in the grounds of a 200-year old former presbytery, and consist of a converted, detached stable building that shares 2 acres of delightful Normandy countryside with ‘Le Vieux Presbytere’. Gite Picardie has parking for ONE vehicle. The property is located in a quiet and pretty lane next to the old church in a traditional Normandy village (population 200). Although secluded, it is close to a small village Tabac, only 1.5km from the next village which food shops, and just 8 mins from Aumale and the borders of Picardie at the river La Bresle. The Gite buildings date back to around 1800, and were converted and renovated ten years ago to a high standard, with a full redesign and fresh redecorations for 2018. Each Gite has a private rear garden/terrace with beautiful views over the countryside. The gite terraces also have comfortable dining tables and furniture and have charcoal or gas barbecues. There is outside lighting for late night summer dining al fresco. Gite Picardie is not suitable for young children or for more than two adults. Guest access Guests have full and exclusive access to the Gite and the rear private garden area. Other things to note TV Television is provided by the Astra 19.2 Satellite, predominantly in French with some German and international channels. MOTORCYCLES As motorcycle riders ourselves, we welcome anyone on two wheels. We have a drying area in our laundry for wet weather gear and Abus/Kryptonite motorcycle locks should you wish to borrow them. We also have a hard-standing area should you wish to wash your bike. We know that when touring on a motorcycle, space is at a premium, and after a long day riding the last thing you want to be doing is hunting for food shops. So we offer to equip your Gite with food essential (bread, cheese, butter ham etc) on your first night. Or if you have any special requirements just let us know.
