Beautiful seaside cabin on peaceful island.

We're happy to welcome you to our cozy, open cabin, with a large beautiful garden located directly at the sea. Our cabin offers among others a modern outdoor kitchen, an outdoor bathtub and multiple fireplaces. Brimse (the island) is easy to reach by public ferry service from Stavanger and has no car traffic. A local farmer on the island offers the best seasonally available veggies. We recommend day-trips to the legendary Pulpit rock, Kjerag, islands and beaches around Brimse and Stavanger. The space Our cozy and open cabin is located on the beautiful island Brimse. Brimse itself is a calm island with around 40 further cabins. It is not far outside Stavanger and can best be reached by a public ferry shuttle from the city center in around 30 minutes. The ferry goes around twice per day. Having no car traffic on the island, allows you to fully decouple by experiencing the calming sounds of nature. Listening to the wind, weather and waves at all times. The location of our cabin, right at the seaside, invites for an extremely refreshing morning swim. Best done by rolling down the grass right into the waves of the ocean. The large window fronts in both the living and main bedroom offer a scenic view of nature, wind and weather. For groceries, restaurants or some cold beers at a pub, the neighbouring island Rennesøy can be visited. Some locally grown vegetables and fruits can be bought directly from the farmer on the island. Our cabin in Scandinavian style has two fully equipped kitchens. The indoor kitchen has an electric stove, an oven, and everything else that one could wish for. The outdoor kitchen is perfect to prepare the catch of the day. The sink, gas grill and hotplate being embedded in a solid stone allows everything from the fish gutting to preparation to be done in the fresh air (while being protected by a canopy in case it ever rains ;) ). The bathroom has an additional freezer in case you would like to deep freeze some of your catch and take it home. The living room has a large eating table (we recommend eating outside at the table placed just next to the seaside), a couch area with a Bose speaker and Wi-Fi. There are 3 terraces, one of both sides and one in front of the house. The larger terrace has an outdoor bathtub with hot water access which is perfect to relax after an eventful day. The cabin has 2 large and 1 smaller sleeping rooms. There is one bathroom with a shower, a washing machine and dryer and a separate toilet. In the evening, after finishing dinner at the seaside table, we love to relax at the fireplace with a glass of wine and some beers watching the sun go down behind Rennesøy. It is further possible to hire a local captain for trips around the neighbouring islands with a larger boat upon earlier request. For trips, we recommend exploring the tour paths on Brimse with its small bays at the tip of the island. Further, we love to travel to neighbouring islands which offer beautiful nature, scenic views, great swimming spots and much more. Of course, not only hiking and swimming but also biking, scuba diving as well as fishing, crab and mushrooms hunts are great fun! We have both a city and a mountain bike as well as fishing gear on the island that can be used. Among the fishing gear are fishing lines and crab traps.
