Malá Praha in the center of Žilina

To save money on hotels, I renovated in 2012 the second apartment in the basement of our house to offer accommodation to artists and performers coming to Stanica & Nová synagóga art centres where I work. When it is free, travelers and tourists are welcome. We are in the town centre, in great neighborhood called Mala Praha (Little Prague), close to everything and quiet in the same time. I really like hosting guests. The space The cosy guest apartment in the basement (half-underground) of our house offers to travelers and visitors 3 tiny double rooms, kitchen and 1,5 bathroom. The floor area is about 50 square metres, so you can imagine the size. The beds in all the rooms can be joined for double or separated as single. The apartment is in the center of Žilina, in the quiet quarter with family houses called Malá Praha (Little Prague), five minutes walk from the historical square and all cultural venues. The house was built in 1935 in functionalist architecture style. Together with a designer we renovated the whole house in 2012 and created in the basement this guest apartment for our friends and artists from Stanica & Nová synagóga art centres, where I work. In the 3 bedrooms there are 6 beds (with a possibility to join them into 3 double beds), a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and 2 toilets. All the equipment and beds are new with quality foam mattresses for good sleep. The apartment has separate entrance from the yard. It is small but nice. The apartment offers budget accommodation if you want to stay in Žilina for couple of days - as a tourist or on a business trip. The historical main square of the town is 5 minutes walking distance, Stanica Cultural Centre or New Synagogue with daily live events as well. Guest access The 3 rooms can accommodate 6 people, but the apartment is best if you are 3 - 4. There is one bathroom and 2 toilets. The apartment has automatic ventilation, so there is always fresh air in the rooms, even if the windows are closed. It is warm, centrally heated and well insulated. There is free wi-fi internet, fridge, microwave and all the equipment you need to prepare your meals at home. Smoking is possible outside in the yard. If you have a car, you can park for free on our own parking place in front of our garage - on our own property. If you have a motorbike or bike or if you need to park inside, I can borrow you our garage. Other things to note I will be happy to invite you to an art event in Stanica Cultural Centre where I work, or to show you the restored New Synagogue, exceptional architecture by Peter Behrens from 1931 which has been my work too. As well, I am ready to advice you about trips around, hiking in the mountains, skiing or any other outdoor sport as Žilina is really good spot for outdoor adventures.
