What used to be an old working farm has now been turned into its own little holiday village. Guests will enjoy the home comforts of open plan ground floor, consisting of fully equipped kitchen, dining & lounge area and the first floor has two bedrooms one en-suite & a separate family bathroom. Within walking distance of the popular Carsington Water. Dog friendly accepting 2 x dogs, a fee of £25.00 per dog is payable (not included in price). Please ask to see our dog rules prior to booking. The lounge area has a TV & DVD player and soft comfy seating for four guests. Dining area with table and four chairs. French doors opening onto a patio area with table and four chairs and overlooks the children's play area. The kitchen is well equipped for all your self catering needs and includes a cooker, hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, glasses and utensils. Both bedrooms have ample drawer and wardrobe space. Bedroom 1 - super king or twin beds & TV, with en suite enclosed shower, WC and wash basin. Bedroom 2 - king or twin beds. Family bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, WC and wash basin. One hairdryer is provided. The rural cottage is set in the picturesque countryside making it unique for walkers, cyclists & families to enjoy the Peak District at its very best. After your busy day then relax with its comfy settees, and flat screen TV, keep the little ones happy with a swim in the communal heated swimming pool or outdoor play area. Grab a glass of wine and get the BBQ ready and sit outside on the patio watching the wildlife. Peak District at it's very BEST! Please note that the following can change at any time. Guests can enjoy our communal heated indoor swimming pool which is open all year round with the exception of early closure on Christmas & New Years Eve and CLOSED on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. The swimming pool opens at 8.30 am and closes at 6.30 pm. (Early Closure on Christmas & New Years Eve). Unisex changing rooms with showers and toilets are available opposite the entrance to the swimming pool. Children’s play area with swings, slides and hobbit house. Communal games room has a table tennis, football and pool table (£1 coin required for football & pool table). No travel cots available so please bring your own along with cot bedding. Highchairs (without straps) will be available on request. Ample outdoor space for you to enjoy, why not bring along your own outdoor games to use on our large meadow. We also have plenty of walks around us so come and enjoy the beautiful Peak District. There is an on call number available if required to contact a member of staff A complex of 16 self-catering cottages with shared indoor heated swimming pool. The beautiful Carsington Water is a 10 minute walk away for its Water sports & Outdoor activities. The Knockerdown pub is located just across the road from us, serving a selection of local food and drink. Due to the pub being next door you can access the pub through our secret gate on site. The pub is dog friendly and has a large beer garden, children's play area and a large restaurant with views over Carsington Water. The cottage is within 6 miles of the two local towns, Ashbourne & Wirksworth, there is a local bus service running a few times a day to Ashbourne. Key collection is from a key box next to your cottage door, the code will be sent to you a few days prior to arrival. Access to the swimming pool is open from 8.30 am to 6.30 pm each day apart from Boxing, Christmas and New Year's Day, when it is closed. Early closure on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times, in both the swimming pool, and the games room. A highchair is available on request (without straps), so if required please advise when booking. We do not provide cots, so you will need to bring your own along with cot bedding. There is a laundry room which consists of two washing machines & tumble dryer (charges apply, £1 coins required). This cottage is part of a complex with 15 other cottages, the pool, games room and outdoor children's play area are all shared facilities. Please note we do not supply any condiments such as salt, pepper oil etc. so you will need to bring your own.
