Directly in the historic center of Potsdam is the enchanting and luxurious Remise (2 rooms for up to 2 people - 40 m² of living space and an additional 20 m² of private terrace/garden). It combines modern living with the charm of the past. The space "GORKI" Remise Vacation in the World Heritage Site: Russian colony Alexandrowka. Directly in the historic center of Potsdam is the enchanting and luxurious Remise (2 rooms for up to 2 people - 45 m² of living space and an additional 20 m² of private terrace/garden). It combines modern living with the charm of the past. The separate and independent vacation home with its own entrance is located on 2 floors in the former stable of the individual monument, which was completely renovated in 2017/2018, with its own garden area and wonderful views of the garden. The residential street is a dead end and has reduced traffic. You will stay centrally and at the same time with views of the countryside in the World Heritage Site - in the middle of Potsdam's historic city center. The Belvedere on the Pfingstberg with castle and park are just a stone's throw away. The city center can be easily reached on foot in 10 minutes or in 5 minutes by bike. Just a few meters away is the "Russian tea room", where you can enjoy breakfast or Russian specialties. The remise was completely renovated with a lot of love for detail. The "GORKI" vacation home offers contemporary comfort in a historic setting, e.g. massive (partly historic) castle floorboards, a small designer bathroom and a modern kitchen with a granite countertop. The vacation home is unique in its effect due to its color scheme and open architectural style. The apartment has its own area in the historic garden, where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the garden of the historic monument and have breakfast, a glass of wine in the evening and relax after a day of "city pavement". In autumn, our guests are invited to taste the fruits of the many fruit trees in our garden. All "old varieties" from the time of Friedrich Wilhelm III. In the apartment there is 1 bedroom (sleeping gallery) with a double bed (1x 160 cm). We provide bed linens free of charge. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer combination, stove (induction), oven (pyrolysis), microwave, WMF coffee machine, espresso machine (Dolce Gusto), toaster and kettle. The kitchen has no dishwasher but otherwise impresses with its contemporary design and thoughtful modernity. The compact design bathroom has a spacious shower with a rain shower. We provide a basic set of towels on arrival without charge (1 large, 1 small per guest). The ensemble in the World Heritage Site can also be booked completely and then offers space for 14 people with the two spacious apartments in the main house. As part of the Potsdam cultural landscape, the colony is an independent UNESCO World Heritage Site. This exposed location is uniquely beautiful, but also has its limitations: Parking directly at the house is unfortunately only possible to a limited extent (parking disc 8 am - 6 pm, 2 hours). You can load and unload your vehicle right next to our property. Afterwards you can park free of charge in the front area of the Russian colony for an unlimited period of time. No visitor vehicles are allowed to park on the property due to monument preservation requirements. Please understand this! The Russian Colony is a green oasis in the heart of Potsdam. Due to the location in the city center, you can still hear the sounds of an urban location. In the apartments you will notice little of it, because we have placed great emphasis on sound insulation. In the historic garden you will experience the liveliness of the city center. Due to the urban location, our jewel box has a very good connection to public transport, bus stop about 100 meters from the house, tram in 2 minutes on foot. There is a free Wi-Fi connection (100 Mbit) available. We welcome all guests personally and, if desired, are happy to help with advice and assistance. I was born in Potsdam and have some insider tips ready. HOUSE RULES: The apartment is suitable for allergy sufferers. For this reason, no pets are allowed. Smoking is not allowed in the apartment. For the final cleaning, we charge €80, which is paid on site at key handover. Bed linen and towels are provided to our guests free of charge. The quaint and unique individual monument was renovated with a lot of effort and attention to detail. We are happy when our guests treat "it" with care. We have solid wood flooring throughout the house - we want all guests to enjoy this uniquely beautiful floor for a long time. Guests are asked to remove their shoes in the house. Of course, we have slippers available for our guests! Check-in is from 3 pm, check-out must be by 10 am. Attention! Guest access The "Gorki" vacation home is exclusively available to our guests. The apartment has its own entrance. Guests can use the garden.
