Charming Studio in quite Casa Alegre ~~~ "The casita is a bright sunny space set in a lovely desert garden 🪴 We appreciated the full kitchen, comfortable bed, and innovative shower. The location is perfect to get to all points of interest in Santa Fe including bike and walking trails! Orlin is very friendly and helpful in all regards! We would definitely return " The space Smoking is not allowed in this house. And please take your shoes off upon the entrance: it's good for your health Thank you! Bed arrangement options:: Full/double bed + optional two kind of toppers, additional twin air bed. The water is filtered 100%. The Electric power is solar. Please don't put glass bottles in the recycling bins, leave them in sunroom. Behind the mirror next to TV screen is the breakers electric box. We added a wall electric fire place/heater, heater under vanity in bathroom, drier in sunroom. Guest access PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE. When GPS brings you to the front of the house, just go around the corner on San Felipe (its' a corner of Otowi & San Felipe) and you will see a SLIDING GATE NEXT TO THE "Casa Alegre" sign. DISREGARD THE KEY PAD BY THE GATE. SIMPLY SLIDE THE GATE MANUALLY AND PARK YOUR CAR INSIDE THE PROPERTY. KEEP THE GATE CLOSED AT ALL TIMES AND LATCH IT FOR THE NIGHT so that we are all safe Other things to note Self-Check in time is after 3PM; check out is 11 AM. THERE ARE NO SPECIAL CHECK OUT instructions. IF you are getting in late, please let us know your estimated time arrival. Thank you! Cleaning service will be provided in 2x a month by request for one hour , every hour above this will be available for $50/hr. If the guest needs to change EV this will be estimated based on an electrical bill in comparison to the bill for the same period when there was no EV charging. To ensure a safe, efficient, and pleasant stay for all guests, please review and follow these important house rules. ⚡️ ENERGY USE & SOLAR POWER * Our home is **solar-powered** and energy-efficient. * **Electricity is included within reasonable use**. Excessive use may result in **extra charges**. * **Turn off all appliances and lights every time you leave the home**—not just at checkout. * **Do not install personal appliances or run external wires for EV charging**—this is prohibited and unsafe. --- ❄️ SUMMER GUIDELINES *(May – September)* * Keep **A/C set between 70°F and 75°F**. Close the windows, blinds, doors, skylights when running the AC. * Open windows during **cooler hours** (evenings, nights, early mornings). * **Close all windows and skylights before leaving** the house to prevent **energy waste and water damage**. * Keep **blinds and skylights closed during the day** to maintain indoor coolness. * **Do not run the A/C while windows are open** --- 🔥 WINTER GUIDELINES *(October – April)* * Keep **heat set below 69°F** for efficient energy use. * Open **blinds and skylights during the day** to bring in natural light and warmth. * **Always close windows and skylights when leaving** to avoid **water damage from rain or snow**. * Never run the heat with windows open. --- 🚗 ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING * EV charging is available for an **additional fee**, based on usage. * Rates and instructions are provided at check-in. * **Do not connect personal chargers or run extension cords**—doing so is prohibited and unsafe. --- 🧼 CLEANLINESS & MAINTENANCE * Please **keep the home reasonably clean** during your stay. * **Do not litter** in or around the property. * **2x / month cleaning service is included**. Any **deep cleaning** required beyond routine over 1 hr care will be charged at **$50/hour**. * **Take out trash every 1–3 days** to avoid odors and pests. * **Garbage** goes in the **green bin**. * **Recyclables** go in the **blue bin**. * **Place trash bins at the curb every Tuesday night** for pickup. --- ## 🐜 FOOD & PEST PREVENTION * **Do not leave food out**—open food attracts ants and roaches. * Guests will be held **responsible for pest control costs** if pests are attracted due to negligence. * If **pests** (including ants, roaches, fleas, ticks, or bed bugs) are found **during or after your stay**, you will be responsible for: * **Treatment costs** * **Repairs** * **Any income lost** if the home cannot be rented due to pest-related issues. --- ## 🏠 PROPERTY DAMAGE & RESPONSIBILITY You are responsible for any damage caused to: * **Structures** * **Furnishings** * **Appliances** * **Flooring** * **Windows** * **Pipes** * Or any other part of the property.
