Pellas main house is built in 1870's and we continue renovating the other buildings at the estate at the same time as we run a small organic farm with sheep. If you are interested you can join us in our daily tasks with the farm. Your room is at the first floor, attic as we call it. There is a double bed that can be separated plus extra beds if traveling with children. Other rooms are shared with the family members. By your room there is a living room with tv. At the ground floor there is a large farm-style kitchen, big library room and a bathroom with shower and dry-toilet. We aim to live as ecologically as possible. If you feel like it, we can warm up the old-time sauna for you in a separate cottage by the main house (15€, guests arriving with bikes 5€). We have dogs and cats living inside the house, we hope that you like pets. They are kept out of your room of course. Guest access Korppoo can be reached from the direction of Turku by free road ferries, which operate around the clock and all year round. A ferry arrives from Åland to the port of Galtby in Korppoo almost every day. From Kustavi in the north, ferries operate during the summer season, but from Korppoo you can continue to Houtskari all year round. Taksi Lehtonen also operates in Korppoo. You can reach Korppoo year-round by free ferry from the mainland, Turku, and there are good bus connections, too. From Ahvenanmaa/Åland, a ferry arrives almost daily to Korppoo Galtby harbour. There is also a taxi company, Taksi Lehtonen. At our home and farm, you are welcome to use the kitchen, library and living rooms, bathroom, garden and old-time sauna (only summertime: warming up sauna 15€, guests arriving with bikes 5€). We have our own pier about 500 meters from the farm by the sea where you can fish, row or swim. We have two adult bikes to rent: €15/day, €60/week and €10/4 hours. In our home and farm, the following family common areas are freely available to you: a large country kitchen, hall, TV lounge, shower and dry toilet, an old garden with herb beds and an old-fashioned sauna, which we heat if you wish (€15, guests arriving by bike €5). Our own dock, boathouse and rowboat are on the village beach about 500 m from our Pellaksen estate. We have two bicycles for rent: €15/day, €60/week, €10/4h. During your stay We, the adults in the family, work on weekdays during the winter season, but we are happy to help with all practical arrangements. We love having you join us for an evening party and to explore our space. We renovate, for example, buildings using traditional construction methods, and we are an organic farm. We adults have day-jobs but are happy to help you with practical arrangements with your travel and love you to join us when we are at home. We feel that we are living in a paradise on earth with nature, the seasons, the sea, wild life to observe and a calming slow life tempo. Other things to note We live ecologically, so for example we try to save water when showering, we compost and try to favor organic and local products. Smoking is not allowed at our farm area and we hope that you understand that you are staying with a family with children and animals. We are an eco-friendly family.
