Style and comfort feature throughout to provide a warm and welcoming holiday cottage Nestled in a quiet village location between Buxton & Bakewell it's a great base from which to explore this stunning part of the Peak District. No.1 Church View offers the following home comforts: - 3 individually styled bedrooms, 2 king-sized double bedrooms (which can also be set up as twin beds if requested). The third bedroom has a set of adult-sized bunk beds so great for the kids (or the big kids!) Bedroom one has an ensuite shower room, and there is a further family bathroom with a shower over the bath, washbasin and WC. - A stunning living room with ample soft seating for 6 guests, a lovely feature log burner and a smart 4K Ultra HD TV - great for movie night! - Moving through from the living space into the gorgeous dining area where you find a beautiful table perfect for 6, from here you have views of the garden and fields beyond. For more informal dining there is also a table in the kitchen that can seat 4. - The kitchen is spacious, modern and bright. Offering all the usual cooking appliances you would expect, including electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Expect plenty of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and glassware so you can cook to your heart's content. - Outdoors there is space for parking one car at the front of the property and free on-street parking over the road from the house. To the rear, there is a paved garden which has a table, chairs and BBQ available from April to October. - For the cycling enthusiast there is also lockable bike storage easily storing 6 bikes. -The property is suitable for family groups only we do not allow hen or stag groups or milestone / young parties due to the quiet village location and nearby residents. Guest access Guests have access to the whole property There is 1 off-street parking space on the drive directly in front of the house (in front of the kitchen window) further free on-street parking over the road. Taddington village is a quiet linear village that is set below Taddington Moor and is one of the highest villages in Derbyshire. There is a great family-friendly pub just a short stroll down the main street. The Queens Arms serves great homemade pub food and has a lovely beer garden with views across the rolling fields. Lots of fantastic walking and cycling routes are on the doorstep with The Monsal Trail, the Limestone Way and The Midshires Way all within walking/cycling distance. A short drive in either direction takes you to Buxton or Bakewell where you will find an abundance of local independent shops, bars and restaurants. Other things to note You Should Know: Unfortunately, we do not accept pets at this property No fireworks or Chinese Lanterns due to nearby livestock If you would like to use the on-site bike storage please let us know at the time of booking. Noise policy in place - not suitable for hen/stag groups or milestone / young parties due to the residential area. Wifi – we provide free wifi however as the Peak District is in a beautiful rural location sometimes there can be intermittent wifi signal that is beyond our control, we also hope you appreciate that we cannot guarantee wifi if there are technical issues out of our control Please let us know how you would like your beds made up. Some beds can be arranged as twins (details in the listing description) but only if requested at least 7 days in advance. If we do not receive any bedroom requests all beds will automatically be set up as doubles where applicable. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with late requests, especially upon check-in. If the booking is made within a 7 day period of your arrival date, all beds will automatically be set up as doubles. Please bring your own cot bed linen as this is not provided
