There is a backyard with deck and herb garden. The space is ideal for one or two guests, with another two fitting comfortably on the sofa or on a provided air mattress. Towels and washcloths are available for your use. I work from home, and am often on the property, and I am happy to recommend places to eat as well as some off the unique non-tourist destinations around Chicago. Want to know the best place to sled in the winter? Where all the best italian ice is? Where museums that showcase medical science and oddities? I can provide that info and point you in the right direction! Two dogs are on the property, and you may encounter them in the back yard. They are both rescues and are friendly, but may bark initially if they see you. If you're a dog person, they do warm up fast, but may forget you exist if they go a day or two without seeing you. Wicker Park is one of the hottest neighborhoods in Chicago, but also features plenty of out of the way, quiet places to just sit and relax as well. The Park itself is a short 2 block walk, and the neighborhood has a ton of boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and bars within walking distance. It's a short El ride to the lake and the loop. Guest access Basic kitchen appliances are all available for your use. You have an small closet in the bedroom, and your own dresser as well. There are a few other small spaces to hang shirts and smaller clothes. There is a cabinet in the bathroom for your toiletries as well as additional shelving in the living room. Other things to note Please send a reservation request instead of an inquiry. Dates book up VERY quickly, often 3-4 months in advance, and I cannot reserve dates without a booking. I typically receive 2-4 inquiries a day during the spring and summer months. There is ample free street parking in front of the building and the blocks immediately surrounding it. Please check signs before parking, as some Tuesdays and Wednesdays are street cleaning, and the city aggressively tickets starting at 9am on those days. For longer term guests (a week and over), I will supply you the first round of toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, soap, and cleaning supplies, but you must buy your own resupply on all consumable goods.
