The area is ideal if you want to enjoy the Norwegian nature and its benefits. Here you can go fishing, berry picking, mushroom picking and hiking. Right next to the property is a small lake for swimming and fishing (ice fishing in winter). There is also a Finnish sauna on the property (in a separate building). After a long day of ice fishing it is nice to warm up in the sauna. Approx. 15 minutes by car to Sønderled with lighted trails, restaurants and stores. Approx. 10 minutes to Øysang. In Øysang you can rent boats for deep sea fishing. Or you can take the ferry to the bathing island "Little Denmark" and to the town Risør with salt water aquarium and cozy pedestrian streets. We also recommend trips to beautiful Kragerø, Jegertunet with tennis courts and swimming pool and Stabbestad with golf course and spa. Last but not least, it is possible to make trips to the towns of Tvedestrand and Arendal. In the summer there are a number of festivals in Risør: chamber music festival in June, artist festival, wild wine festival in July and wooden boat festival in Augus. You can also enjoy various open-air concerts at Portør Guesthouse right on the Telemark border. In other words, this vacation home is the perfect starting point for an unforgettable and exciting vacation in Norway. Note: No mobile reception at and in the house.
