The apartment is in a nice villa with a garden and parking space, in South West Sardinia, 20 minutes from the dunes of Porto Pino and other beautiful beaches and lagoons. In Sulcis, an area of great archaeological and natural interest, a stone's throw from the prenuragic necropolis of Montessu, the forest of Pantaleo and the Caves of Is Zuddas. We are also 25 minutes from the island of Sant'Antioco and 30-40 minutes from the boarding for the Island of San Pietro (Carloforte). The space The rooms are spacious with windows overlooking the countryside. Around the apartment there are balconies, from which you can admire the beautiful hills of the area. They are not very deep, but they can accommodate a coffee table for 2. In front of the house there is a garden, in the back a small vineyard and the vegetable garden. The climate is breezy and you can smell the scent of the Sardinian countryside. Guest access The apartment is accessible from an external staircase overlooking the common garden. I live downstairs and sometimes my two daughters are there too; then there is also a dachshund and two cats. You can use the courtyard, including the wires for hanging out clothes, the outdoor fireplace for roasting, and the outdoor shower, sharing with us who live below. You can smoke on the balconies and in the courtyard if you wish. NB: the supply of wood for roasting is not provided. Common areas must be left tidy after use. I could accommodate small pets. If you want to bring them with you, send me a message to explain what animal it is and what size, and I will let you know if it is possible. Other things to note We are located in the center of a very interesting area, both from a naturalistic and historical-archaeological point of view. Within walking distance are the domus de janas of Montessu, a little further away the mining village of Rosas. Then the forest of Pantaleo that continues in the WWF oasis (Monte Arcosu). Towards the sea, on the other hand, there are a series of brackish ponds that permanently host flamingos and many other aquatic birds. Finally, the beaches: from the kilometer-long ones to the coves, exposed in various ways so you can always choose the right one depending on the wind (ask me!). Needless to say, they are all beautiful and wild, surrounded by Mediterranean scrub and pine forests. But almost all of them now have a bar and, for those who wish, it is also possible to find bathing establishments. If you love diving and snorkeling, there are also beautiful cliffs. Cagliari and the cliffs of Nebida are not far away (less than an hour's journey) and even less S. Antioco and Carloforte. Finally, there are also beautiful natural caves (Is Zuddas), tombs of the giants, sacred wells, country churches and ruined castles on the top of rocky hills. The countryside is flat but moved by hills covered with Mediterranean scrub and cultivated fields. A beautiful landscape in summer, beautiful the rest of the year!
